This course is delivered at Bournemouth & Poole College.

This course will give you a sound understanding of tourism and hospitality businesses. It will develop your knowledge and skills to progress into a successful career in these dynamic sectors or to continue in higher education. The course will also equip you with a range of valuable personal attributes including the ability to communicate effectively, develop ideas and deal with change. These skills make students sought- after employees and increase the career choices available.

One of the key factors in separating a great holiday or event from a good one is the level of hospitality you receive. If you’re interested in a career where you can make that difference, we will provide professional development and knowledge for you if you’re interested in a management career in a range of tourism organisations or governmental bodies.

You will have the opportunity to develop a range of valuable skills including the ability to communicate effectively, develop ideas and deal with changes within the industry. Bournemouth and the surrounding area is a popular resort, so you will never be far away from a variety of relevant tourist activities and locations to gain hands-on experience and inspiration.

Our course is supported by the University’s hugely successful International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research (ICTHR). We have also established close links within the industry, among many others, to ensure that you will find our course to be relevant, inspiring and perfectly suited as a platform to a successful career in tourism and hospitality.
