Sarah Sproul

FdA Tourism & Events Management

‘I took a decision to change career path, but as I have three children I needed to study locally. I knew that Bournemouth University had a good reputation in tourism, so this course was ideal. I am really enjoying being at The College even though I’m the oldest on the course. Everyone at the College has been immensely supportive especially helping me with my dyslexia. I find the course exciting and beneficial – it’s the best decision I ever made. I have encouraged my friends in industry to return to study and retrain and I would support them all the way. Both the atmosphere and the challenges are enjoyable even though it’s hard work. When I finish I would like to get into corporate events management.’
