FdA Performing Arts - Dance:

This route through the Foundation degree is for students who wish to further their dance skills and develop their understanding of the dance field within a performing arts context. As well as the College's specialist dance tutors, there will be a programme of workshops led by visiting dance professionals.

The course comprises a mixture of practical and theoretical sessions with a strong emphasis on integration of the two elements. Modules include Dance and Health, Physical Theatre and Community Dance. Students will be continually assessed through a series of practical performances, written assignments and oral presentations. 100% attendance is expected to pass the programme.

Students can progress to a one-year Honours top-up degree (Level H) or employment in a range of dance- related activities.
