Leisure Marketing BA (Hons)

Course overview

You can still apply to BU (including through UCAS Extra). Please apply through UCAS as soon as possible; your application can only be assessed once we have received it from UCAS.

This course aims to develop the skills needed to identify, anticipate and satisfy the leisure needs of customers, what ever their leisure interests – travel, heritage and culture, music, sports participation or support, home-making or electronic entertainment. Organisations in these sectors are having to adapt to political and technological changes. They depend on their ability to attract customers and sponsors to survive.

This course focuses on management, marketing and events organisation which distinguishes it from leisure-related courses, and gives you the skills knowledge and enthusiasm you need to succeed.

What our students think

"The best thing about my course would have to be the diverse units we study, covering vital topics such as Finance to Consumer Behaviour to Marketing Communications. The third year placement is also very significant, during this year you can put into practice what you have learnt over the first two years and you also learn so much to take back with you for the final year and dissertation! Each of the unit leaders are always there for help and support, which makes studying that bit easier. Rachel Versey
