Sara Dumani talks about her year studying with BU. "I completed my two year Foundation degree in Birmingham yet I had the possibility to do a BA in Tourism in one year at Bournemouth University. I had heard that BU was well known for Tourism courses which motivated me to chose this university.

What I liked about the course was the wide range of modules that linked with each other. The seminars were very useful as they provided extra information related to the module and the opportunity to speak with the lecturer as the classes were smaller.

All members of staff had a lot of knowledge of their subject and had experience from the working environment which made the lectures really interesting. Every member of staff was always available to answer my questions face to face or via email; they were all very helpful.

The people on my course were from different countries and had different backgrounds which made my experience more interesting and rewarding. It was a tough year study wise yet thanks to my wonderful course mates I was able to enjoy my time and pass successfully. I am also very happy I joined the BU Ladies Football Club, the RAG society (Raising and Giving) and the BU Snowriders Society as it was the best way to meet people with the same passions as me.

I was in Bournemouth for only one year and I feel I truly made the most of it, academically and socially. It was one amazing experience that I will cherish forever."

"I chose to study at Bournemouth University because it has a favourable reputation for tourism. It is a modern university with up to date facilities. Being located at the seaside made the University and the town attractive as well. Finally, my choice was made through the presence of its representatives abroad. This personal contact was the convincing point for my decision." Janine Paul BU student 2007.
