This one-year top-up degree course will appeal to those applicants who are interested in the field of IT and computer networking. Graduates from this course will be equipped with a critical understanding of issues associated with IT and networks in the context of business operation.

You will have the opportunity of completing Cisco CCNA certification courses during this degree course at the BU Cisco Certified Local Networking Academy.

You will have the opportunity to study traditional network computing with an emphasis on network design, management and the broader administration aspects of networks. Our excellent resources include dedicated network laboratories and we will provide you with access to the latest in hardware and software tools for producing professional products. You will have the opportunity of using the equipment to design and implement web systems and computer networks and become familiar with their management.

Practical experience combined with theoretical knowledge means that graduates from this course will be highly sought after in a number of areas. By the end of the course you will be able to design, configure and manage distributed networked systems to a professional standard.

The ultimate objective of this course is to prepare students towards management positions in IT and networks.
