The key phrase of the 21st century media industry is “cross platform production”. Creative ideas are developed into themes and brands, exploited across a range of different media platforms including television, radio and the internet. This exciting, creative approach to media is at the very core of this course.

This Top-up course allows you to develop your international perspectives and communication skills in a single year programme, and enhances your prospects for entry into media and communications employment with an Honours degree from a top Media School in the UK.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will graduate with a full BA Honours degree in Global Media Practice from one of the top Media Schools in the UK.

As a Top-up degree, it is designed to allow progression for international students from suitable preparatory programmes at undergraduate degree level. We are looking for people from across the world who have studied any of the different media platforms. We will provide opportunities to develop your technical and creative skills in your own media specialism, as well as developing your understanding of developing global media markets, and the role of communication particularly across cultures, as well as gaining new perspectives on intercultural property and ethics.

You will experience a distinctive and innovate mix of group-work, individual authorship, theory, practice, and work experience, in the areas of interactivity, sound design, and video production.

This course allows you to work alongside students from across the world, enabling the sharing of rich and diverse experiences, and further developing and refining your practical media skills and understanding of the global marketplace.
