Global Computer Animation Practice BA (Hons) - (Top-up)

Course overview

This course is not recruiting for 2012 entry.

The new BA Global Computer Animation Practice courses build upon the success of the NCCA’s (The National Centre for Computer Animation) pioneering work in the fusion of artistic and technical teaching on three year undergraduate courses, and both taught and project based postgraduate courses.

This course is designed for graduates with an existing qualification in computer animation, who have a predominately artistic bias, and wish to develop these skills further in their direction while ensuring they have solid technical foundation. They will then be qualified to work as general animators, or go on further study to increase their level of specialism.

They will then be qualified to find work as general technical directors, or go on to further study to increase their level of specialism. While the graduates of the courses will primarily be oriented to the needs of the Animation Production industry, their skill-sets will also be highly applicable the Computer Games and Visual Effects industries.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will graduate with a full BA Honours degree in Global Computer Animation Practice from one of the top Media Schools in the UK. As a Top-up degree, it is designed to allow progression for international students from suitable preparatory programmes at undergraduate degree level.

This course allows you to work alongside students from across the world, enabling the sharing of rich and diverse experiences, and further developing and refining your practical media skills and understanding of the global marketplace.

Global Computer Animation Practice will provide an international educational experience; immersing students not only in the study of global animation culture and industry, but also the practical production of animation packages.

This will provide a stepping-off point for graduates to produce and market original animation IP (Intellectual Property) and also solicit outsourced animation for production in their home country.
