This course is delivered at Kingston Maurward College in Dorchester.

It has been designed for those wishing to pursue a career within the numerous, rapidly developing equine support industries and associated advisory services, e.g. research, consultancy, inspection, behavioural and physical therapies.

The structure of the course includes units common to the FdSc Animal Behaviour and Welfare course. This provides you with a broader understanding of underpinning concepts and affords the option to delay specialisation until the second years (if preferred) coupled with units specific to the requirements of the equine industry.

The course is delivered by a team of highly qualified staff with experience in various sectors of the equine industry and with strong research backgrounds in animal welfare/ behaviour science. There is access to unparalleled facilities both on site and within the immediate locale.

Your learning process will be dynamic and exciting. Course material is delivered through a combination of lectures, discussions, assignments and case history evaluation, practical activities (laboratory, fieldwork and clinical observation), visitng guest speakers and specialist visits. If you would prefer to study on a part-time basis, then you can do so, with the course lasting up to six year.
