What will I study?

  • Through designing, directing and developing digital technology and media across a range of emerging platforms,you will enjoy the challenge of working at the cutting edge of advanced digital media production environments
  • You will gain a solid grounding of key principles, ideas and the theory of design, technology and contexts of digital media, be it for the web, mobile devices, games, gallery or museum
  • You will combine sound, video, screen design, writing and animation with digital design, coding and creative software skills to create diverse media including; design for online media and advertising, social media applications, advanced online games, physical media installations for exhibitions and mobile apps
  • You will also be exposed to new and emerging innovations in digital media technologies and be able to follow emerging trends and formats, especially within the final year projects and dissertation.

The course has been leading the way for fifteen years within the world renowned Media School, and is closely partnered with Centre for Excellence in Media Practice as well as leading industry partners such as Adobe.

Our world-class technical production and research facilities include HD -TV Studios, Editing Facilities, HD Network spine and Experimental Media Lab. Our state-of-the-art facilities are complemented by our staff recognised in their own areas of Interactive Media, Design and Research who work alongside world leading external industry speakers brought in across the Media School.
