Engineering graduates from BU are the UK’s second highest earners according to a league table in The Sunday Times.

This course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers and the Engineering Council. Graduates from courses with professional body accreditations are highly valued by employers within the sector.

This course was developed in consultation with industry and the professional institutions to ensure that our graduates have the technical skills and knowledge demanded by today's competitive business environments.

Throughout the course you will have access to industry standard facilities. These include detailed computer suites, a Design Centre with modern manufacturing, technical workshops and state of the art prototyping facilities.

The specialist skills that you will develop will enable you to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing work environment. Your technological knowledge and creativity will set you up for an exciting career in this industry as a successful Design Engineer.

Strong industry links and taking advantage of the optional work placement will enhance your employment prospects. The work placement is invaluable in helping you to make an informed decision about your future career pathway. You will be supported throughout your placement experience, and will be given expert advice to find your placement, as well as hints and techniques on how to perform well at interviews. Past students have taken placements both in the UK and abroad.
