If you are looking for a course that prepares you for an outstanding career in computing and networking then this course is for you. This course provides practical experience with technical knowledge.

Throughout this course you will gain expertise and understanding of all areas relevant to modern computing and networking. You will cover internet, games and web technologies, usability, systems software and computer networking. You will be prepared for your future career through personal development and group working, as modern computing and networking is always done as part of a team.

Practical experience combined with theoretical knowledge means that as a graduate from this course you will be highly sought after in a number of areas. These include software design and development, networking, technical consultancy, database management and system analysis.

The richness of careers in the IT industry means that you may not be clear about which area you want to specialise in therefore we have designed the framework to have a common first year and a second year which is largely common. This will give you exposure to a variety of modern technologies and techniques. The first two years cover those areas we know to be foundational for all professionals in the computing and networking industry, in addition year two enables a measure of specialism. Progression to year three allows you to further specialise by selecting the most appropriate pathway at BSc level.
