What will I study?

  • This course provides the opportunity to study communication in society. It combines theory and practice and using approaches from the humanities and social sciences disciplines
  • You will explore the fundamental roles played by narrative in thought, society, literature and the media.
  • You will also learn to evaluate a variety of literary and popular texts including newspapers, magazines, films, television, graphic novels and comics
  • The course equips students with the necessary skills to write creatively and to employ professional standards of writing for a range of audiences.
  • You will learn the conventions of journalism, editing and publishing, including writing for new electronic and interactive media.

Who should do this course?

  • Students must be able to demonstrate an interest in media including television and newspapers, and have a broad knowledge of how the media industry works
  • We are looking for creative candidates who have who have good communication and presentation skills
