BA (Hons) Business Studies is our longest running course. Business is a broad and fascinating subject with many different areas to specialise in which lead the way to fantastic graduate employment opportunities.

Specialist pathways

As well as taking core business units, this BA (Hons) Business Studies degree features specialist pathways, each one concentrating on a particular aspect of business:

Flexibility

Our Business Studies course is unique in giving you the flexibility to keep your specialisation options open until your second year of study. This offers you the best of both worlds: broad-based first and second years and a specialised final year.

If you wish to combine work and study, we also offer a BA (Hons) International Business & Management degree that's delivered part-time, either online or with a combination of online study with some campus attendance.

Employability

Whichever pathway of Business Studies you choose, at the end of your degree you will have gained qualities enabling you to manage a range of business activities in a global context. Employability and career prospects are at the heart of our Business courses.

Placement opportunities

As part of your Business Studies degree, you will spend 40 weeks working within industry, putting the theory from your first two years on the course into practice.

Our extensive network of contacts means that you will have the opportunity to gain this experience working at some of the world’s most innovative and influential businesses, including Xerox, Barclays, British Airways, Hewlett-Packard, Vauxhall Motors, IBM, Wella and Nokia to name a few. Our students perform extremely well during their paid placements; employers are always impressed with their abilities and many of our students return to their placement company upon graduation.
