The Student experience

The students experience on the course will include:

  • Working on site-specific projects of historic interest within the local community;
  • Study and understanding of the development of architectural features and craft skills;
  • Undertake and manage projects using conservation/masonry techniques;
  • Research the origins and working characteristics of natural stones;
  • Carrying out appropriate work placement within the conservation/stonemasonry industry;
  • Learning how to design, carve and decorate stonework to high quality;
  • Developing the essential and effective skills to become a conservation/masonry practitioner.
