Course overview

You can still apply to BU (including through UCAS Extra). Please apply through UCAS as soon as possible; your application can only be assessed once we have received it from UCAS.

This course is delivered at Bridgwater College’s Cannington Centre for Land-Based studies.

The animal management qualifications are an excellent route for those who wish to gain employment and work with animals. This top-up course focuses upon behaviour, nutrition, breeding and health which are very sought after in the industry, particularly by public demand for private behavioural services, laboratories, nutrition companies, zoological organisations, conservation areas and wildlife parks.

This course offers a practical 'hands on' experience with use of the facilities at the centre, such as the new animal management building with an extensive and expanding animal collection, veterinary nursing equipment, farm facilities, equestrian centre, surrounding ecological habitats and access to zoological collections.
