Study options for Media Production Professionals

Enhance your skills and broaden your knowledge base with our wide range of short courses ... at BU we are committed to helping you achieve your career goals, which is why we work closely with employers (eg. the BBC) and organisations such as Skillset and Met Film School, to ensure we provide you with relevant study options for your professional and personal development.

We also recognise that as busy professionals you need an approach to learning that fits with your demanding workloads and that is why we have designed our courses to minimise the time you need to spend with us (only two-days with us here in Bournemouth, within walking distance of our lovely beaches). Following these two-days, the remainder of the course is studied on a distance learning basis.

We work with a number of partner organisations in order to provide you with a wide range of course options:

• Our filmmaking short courses (building to an MA Fillmmaking) are run in association with Met Film School, based at the famous Ealing Studios, who also deliver a range of full-time and part-time programmes taught by working industry professionals.
• BBC Academy - have a distinguished track record of delivering high-level training and development. Working together we deliver a range of production focused short courses (building towards an MA Production Management), based at their White City building.
• Skillset - we are proud to be a member of the Skillset Media Academy initiative, a national network of colleges and universities that have been recognised as providing the best in media education. Courses from the network of organisations can be taken individually or in combination.
