Professional Doctorate: Creative Industries

This exciting new course has been designed for advertising, marketing, PR, journalism, computer animation and other professionals working in the creative industries.

The Creative Industries in the UK has shown itself to be diverse, vibrant and a growing contributor to the economy. To enhance this dynamic, the Media School offers this Professional Doctorate exclusively for the industry. The academic standing of this qualification is equivalent to that of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and provides one of the highest qualifications of intrinsic value and status available to practitioners, leading to the title of Doctor.

This is a part-time course where residential workshops based at the state of the art Executive Business Centre are coupled with online learning resources.

This course will enable you to integrate theory and practice, and will enhance skills, competencies, personal & professional growth and achievement. You will incorporate real 'live' issues faced by practitioners in the creative industries. The course may start with a practical problem or issue and work from practice to theory and back to practice, enabling you to investigate issues or problems that you are experiencing or having to address as part of your day-to-day business. This will lead to new knowledge that puts you at the forefront of your profession or position.
