Enterprise Information Systems MSc (Full-time, Part-time)

This research-led MSc Enterprise Information Systems will equip you with the technical skills required to function as an effective software system analyst, designer, manager or developer. This course is particularly aimed at computing and engineering graduates as well as software systems engineering professionals who wish to update or expand their knowledge in large-scale complex software systems engineering. The course is highly practical where theory learned in lectures will be grounded in practical work ranging from requirements engineering though to advanced object-oriented analysis and design, global software development and data mining complemented with research, innovation and entrepreneurial topics.

The core aims of the course will be to equip you with:

  • an integrated, interdisciplinary view of large-scale complex software systems engineering
  • a mastery of the software systems engineering process and the ability to apply this process effectively to a variety of real world situations
  • a thorough and informed understanding of the environment within which software systems engineering occurs (e.g. global systems development)
  • direct experience and practice of the software systems engineering process though a significant real-world project
  • innovation and entrepreneurial skills to function in the global economy
