Facilities & resources

Facilities within the School of Design, Engineering & Computing are extensive. We operate an access policy to ensure 24 hours a day, seven days a week student access to computing resources. Also specifically for this course, you will have access to the following facilities;

  • State of the art surround sound recording studio (5.1) with ProTools HD, SSL converters and Adam monitoring. A wide collection of microphones including industry standard Neuman U87 and Soundfield SPS422B surround microphone
  • Remote location portable recording rig
  • State of the art auditorium for recording large ensembles with surround sound (7.1) monitoring and artificial reverberation (TC Electronic)
  • State of the art lab with 18 Mac Pros
